Finally had the opportunity to visit this lovely restaurant. We ordered the sample menu, bison burger, and elk stew. Everything was delicious and not overly seasoned which allowed the natural flavors to stand out. Normally with soups or stews, I have to brace myself with saltiness but not the case with the elk stew...not salty at all - I could taste the natural flavors from the veggies and elk meat.As we didn't know what to order being first timers, the sample menu allowed us to try the three different options of bannocks - regular, raisin, and fried. Bear claws with blueberry jam was delightful, as we're the salmon, and bison sliders.Lastly, our server was super helpful and friendly!

Amazing! Was with my kid (14) in Toronto for the first time and I decided I wanted authentic Canadian" food. What does that even mean? So I searched for "indigenous restaurants" and found this place. The service was great and the food was amazing! We ate our meals

First time trying bison meat, and I'm impressed by how prominent the beefy flavour is.Bison Stew - thick stew containing tender bison meat, which has a stronger flavor than cow, carrots, potatoes, pepper, mushrooms. Had a slight smoky flavor and was hearty. Fry bread soaked up the broth and was delish and soft.Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts!

Went here with two friends on a Friday. I had the arctic char dinner, my friends had the salmon dinner and salmon burger on fry bread. Great place for sustainable fish. Wild rice with veg was smokey and earthy. Definitely worth returning!

Amazing food. Great staff. We came here with our runcrew and they opened up just for us. Loved the salmon burger with the fresh bannock bun and coleslaw!

Phenomenal food and friendly and fun staff. We ordered the Salmon burger and Bison burger and they were so delicious. The fry bread buns were light and fluffy and the flavours were amazing. Got a cup of cedar tea and some bannok on the side that were definitely worth it. So highly recommend eating here for hearty and filling food for very fair prices!

I am in love with their frybread! I've had frybread a lot and this was the best I've ever had, especially the frybread hotdog. Now, nothing will ever match fresh off the fire bannock at a pow wow, so it's a little hard to compare but it was okay. The smoked char was delicious. The fresh berry juice was refreshing and perfect with bannock and jam.Our server was great and the decor is wonderful. I will be back to have a proper dinner and give it the five star treatment :)
